The general definition of Renaissance is the rebirth of something and I think Leonardo has contributed a whole lot for a rebirth of knowledge. His works and achievements have helped the whole Europe in terms of art, architecture, weapons, technology and so on. For example, Leaonardo has contributed a lot for Milan against France. His inventions and creations really represents a whole new rebirth of knowledge.
